Upcoming update to the Sonos service on IFTTT
IFTTT is updating the Sonos service and the API it uses.
As part of this update, you will need to reconnect the Sonos service on March 16, 2026. IFTTT will send a notification email once the update is complete and it’s time to reconnect.
Do I need to take action right now?
The Sonos service will be updated on March 16, 2026. When the update is complete, you’ll need to reconnect the service to keep your Applets running smoothly.
No action is required before then.
Will I receive a reminder?
Yes. We will send a reminder email when it’s time to reconnect. This help center article will also be updated to indicate that the update is complete and it’s time to reconnect.
How do I reconnect the Sonos service?
On March 16, 2026, once you’ve received the email notification that the update is complete, follow these steps to reconnect:
Sign in to your IFTTT account.
Select Reconnect.
Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process.
Once reconnection is complete, your existing Applets will continue to function as normal.
Do I need to remake or edit my Applets?
No. Your existing Applets will not need to be updated. Once you reconnect the Sonos service on March 16, 2026, all of your Applets will continue to function as normal.
What happens if I do not reconnect?
If you do not reconnect the Sonos service after March 16, your existing Applets that use Sonos will stop working. After reconnecting your existing Applets will continue to run as normal.
