IFTTT has several checks in place to make sure things are running smoothly. We know that nothing on the web has 100% uptime (even us!), so we won't just disable an Applet or connection if it failed once or twice. However, if an Applet or connection ends up consistently failing the following checks though, it may be automatically disabled.
Applets may automatically disable due to any of the following:
- One of the services in the Applet or connection has an authentication failure
- The trigger check consistently fails
- The action part of the Applet or connection fails to continually run (note: skips and rate limits do not count towards this)
You can check your activity feed for further details on why an Applet or connection was turned off. These Applets or connections can be re-enabled at any point, but they may get disabled again if the underlying issue remains. Check out Common errors and troubleshooting tips or the communities on Reddit or Hackster.io to see if your problem is known or being experienced by other users.
