How to connect MyQ to IFTTT
Once you've created an IFTTT account, connecting to MyQ is easy:
- Open the MyQ Service page.
- Click connect.
- Enter your login credentials. Passwords are not stored anywhere on IFTTT, and your data is not sold to any 3rd party.
- You will be redirected to the MyQ Service page, where you can now create an Applet.
To manage your connection to MyQ, you can head to your MyQ Settings page and either reconnect, or remove your account.
What can you automate with MyQ and IFTTT?
The MyQ service supports four triggers and three actions that can be used in Applets to create automations.
The MyQ triggers enable you to run an Applet when your garage door opens or closes, or when your light turns on or off. Popular examples include turning on other smart home devices when the door moves or having an announcement play when it opens or closes:

Can you open MyQ Garage door with IFTTT?
Currently, the MyQ service on IFTTT does not support an open door action. If a service is missing a trigger, query, or action that you’d find helpful, you can request new features by clicking the Suggest new button on the Details tab of the service page.
