Zoom can be used as either a trigger, query, or action, which represent the fundamental building blocks of an IFTTT Applet.
To make use of these building blocks, you need to create an Applet by using the Applet composer. This can be done by clicking or tapping "Create" when logged into IFTTT or by connecting to a premade Applet on the Zoom service page.
Using Zoom as a trigger
To use the Zoom service as a trigger, open the Applet composer and click the Add button next to 'If This':
Select Zoom from the list or use the search bar to filter results. Then, choose from a list of available triggers. If you have do not have Zoom connected, you may be redirected to do so. The help article, Connecting Zoom to IFTTT, can help you connect Zoom.
Using Zoom as a query
After you've added a trigger, click the plus button, and then select Add query.
Select Zoom from the list or use the search bar to filter results. Then, choose from a list of available queries. If you have do not have Zoom connected, you may be redirected to do so.
Using Zoom as an action
After you have added your trigger service, select Add next to 'Then That'.
Select Zoom from the list or use the search bar to filter results. Then, choose from a list of available actions. If you have not already connected to Zoom, you may be redirected to do so.
You will be asked to enter the following values to create a meeting:
- The name of the meeting
- The date and time of the meeting
- The meeting length
- An optional meeting Agenda
You may use values from previous steps of the Applet to populate the action fields.
