Once an Applet is created or enabled, it can be managed from your My Applets view. This section covers how to view, edit, archive, and restore Applets, as well as how to access activity history and manage published Applets.
Viewing Your Applets
All of your enabled and disabled Applets are listed on your My Applets view. You can use the search bar at the top of the page to quickly find a specific Applet by name.
If you're on the Free or Pro plan, you’ll also see a counter next to All that shows how many Applets you currently have vs the total number of Applets available on your plan. Any Applet listed in the All tab counts toward your plan’s Applet limit. If you no longer need an Applet you can archive or delete it at which point it will no longer count towards the limit.
The Applet counter is highlighted above in yellow
Enabled Applets will display a slider marked Connected, meaning they will run next time a Trigger Event occurs. Disabled Applets appear grey with a slider displaying Connect, indicating they are inactive and will not run until re-enabled.
Managing Individual Applets
To manage a specific Applet, click its card to open the Applet detail page. From there, you have several options:
Enable or Disable the Applet
-
If the Applet is currently enabled, the slider in the top right will say Connected. Click or tap it to disconnect the Applet, the slider will move left and show Connect, meaning it’s now disabled and will no longer run.
-
If the Applet is disabled, press Connect to enable it again. The slider will move to the right and show Connected.
View Activity
Press View activity to see a log of when the Applet has run. This includes detailed information about each Trigger event and resulting Action. The activity feed section of this guide covers viewing the activity feed and troubleshooting issues in more detail.
Editing your Applet
To update how the Applet works, press Settings in the top right. This will open the Applet composer, where you can modify the Trigger, Actions, and other configuration details.
You can also change the Applet's title directly from its detail page. Updating the title won’t affect how the Applet functions, it’s just for your own reference.
Archive or Delete the Applet
At the bottom of the Applet detail page, you’ll see an option to Archive or Delete, depending on the Applet:
-
Archive: If you created the Applet, you'll see the option to archive it. This removes the Applet from your My Applets view and stops it from running. It won’t count toward your Applet limit, and you can restore it at any time.
-
Delete: If you enabled a published Applet created by someone else, you’ll see the option to delete it. This permanently removes it from your account and it can’t be restored. However, you can enable it again at any time by visiting ifttt.com/explore. Applets that have been deleted will no longer count toward your Applet limit.
Published Applets
If you’ve created and published Applets for other users, they’ll appear under the Published tab to the right of All on the My Applets page. Click this tab to view and manage your published Applets. Selecting an Applet lets you review and update its settings.
Archived Applets
Applets you’ve archived can be found under the Archive tab next to My Applets. If you’d like to use an archived Applet again:
-
Click the Applet in the Archive view.
-
Press Restore to return it to your My Applets list.
-
Press Connect if you’d like it to begin running again.
