Getting started with IFTTT is easy. First, you'll create an account, which gives you access to thousands of automations. The section covers account set up and the different plans that are available.
Creating an account
To get started with IFTTT, head to ifttt.com/join and sign up.
You can create an account using an email and password or sign in with Google, Apple, or Facebook for a quicker setup.
The IFTTT sign up page
Signing up using Email
To create an account using your email and a password, enter your email address, choose a password, and select Get started. Your account will be created and linked to the email address you provided.
To log in on another device or return to your account later, go to ifttt.com/login and enter your email and password.
Signing up using Google, Apple, or Facebook Single Sign On
IFTTT also supports signing up using Google, Apple, or Facebook through Single Sign-On (SSO). To create an account this way, select the appropriate Continue with button.
For example, choosing Continue with Google will link your account to your Google login. If you're not already signed in to Google, you'll be prompted to do so.
To log in on another device, simply select the same Continue with option you used during sign-up.
Personalize your account
After creating your account, visit ifttt.com/settings to personalize your experience. You can update your username, add a profile picture, set your time zone, and enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for added security. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA to help protect your account.
If you signed up using Google, Apple, or Facebook, you can also add a password to your account from the settings page. This allows you to log in using your email and password in the future, even if you originally signed up with Single Sign-On.
Plan options: Free, IFTTT Pro, and IFTTT Pro+
Signing up for IFTTT is completely free and gives you access to core features that help you get started with automation right away. If you need additional features, you can also upgrade to IFTTT Pro or IFTTT Pro+ plan. Both IFTTT Pro and IFTTT Pro+ offer a 7 day free trial if you'd like to try them out before subscribing.
The Free plan is a great way to explore what IFTTT can do. You can create up to two Applets at a time, either build your own or use ones shared by the community. Applets run at standard speeds, and you’ll have unlimited Applet runs, simple no-code tools, and full access to the IFTTT mobile app.
IFTTT Pro is a good fit if you're ready to do more with your automations. You can create up to 20 Applets and unlock advanced features like multi-action Applets. You'll also get faster Applet speeds, access to exclusive service such as Webhooks and Twitter, and support from our customer service team.
IFTTT Pro+ gives you the most flexibility and control. It includes everything from Pro, plus unlimited Applets, access to AI services, the ability to connect multiple accounts across services, and advanced tools like queries and filter code so you can fine-tune how your Applets run. You’ll also receive priority support when you need help.
