Background
When viewing an Applet you created, you have the option to archive it. Archiving an Applet removes it from your active list and won’t count toward your Applet limit if you’re on a free or Pro plan. You can also unarchive it later if you change your mind.
For more details on managing your Applets—including archiving, unarchiving, and turning them off—see How do I turn off or archive an Applet?.
If you’d like to permanently remove an Applet from your account, this guide will walk you through the deletion process.
Steps to delete an Applet
Open a web browser and go to https://ifttt.com/p/username/applets/private.
-
Select either Private or Archived, depending on whether the Applet you want to delete is currently archived or not.
Click on the Applet you want to delete.
-
Click Delete to permanently remove it from your IFTTT account.
Click OK on the confirmation message, and a notification will appear letting you know the Applet has been successfully deleted.
Note:
Deleting an Applet is only available via the web browser, at this time it cannot be done through the IFTTT app.
Published Applets cannot be deleted, as other users may be relying on them. Published Applets can be archived which will prevent them from populating in ifttt.com/explore.
